Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “nail what color is the shoe” thing all over the internet, and honestly, I was super curious. I mean, it sounds kinda random, right? Matching your nails to your shoes? But I figured, why not give it a shot? It could be fun, and maybe I’d discover a new style combo I loved.
The Great Shoe Hunt
First things first, I needed to pick a pair of shoes. I rummaged through my closet – sneakers, boots, heels, sandals… you name it, I probably have it. I finally settled on my favorite pair of light pink sneakers. They’re comfy, cute, and I figured pink would be an easy color to match with nail polish.
Nail Polish Chaos
Next up, the nail polish. I opened my nail polish drawer, and… wow. It was a rainbow explosion. I have way too many colors. I started pulling out all the pinks I could find. I had a pale pink, a hot pink, a shimmery pink, a coral-pink… it was overwhelming!
The Test Run
I decided to test out a few different shades. I painted one nail with the pale pink – looked kinda boring. Then I tried the hot pink – too much! The shimmery pink was okay, but not quite right. Finally, I painted a nail with the coral-pink, and it was pretty close! It wasn’t a perfect match, but it complemented the shoes nicely.
Put them to gether!
I took a photo with my nails and the shoes and posted it on my page, I got many likes and comments for it! I think matching my nails with my shoes, that’s so interesting!
The Verdict
So, after all that, what’s my take on this trend? It was actually more fun than I expected! It’s a silly little thing, but it made me think about my style in a new way. I don’t know if I’ll do it all the time, but it’s definitely something I’d try again. Maybe next time I’ll try matching my nails to my blue boots… or even a pair that have multi colors!
