Well, I’ve always been curious about the difference between C and D cup sizes. So, I decided to do some hands – on research to figure out how to choose the right size for myself.

First off, I went to a bunch of lingerie stores. I walked in, greeted the salesgirls, and told them about my little mission. They were super helpful. I started by trying on bras in C cup. I picked up different styles, like the balconette and the full – cup ones. I put them on, adjusted the straps, fastened the hooks at the back, and then took a good look at myself in the mirror. The C cup bras felt okay, but I wasn’t entirely sure if they were the best fit. They seemed a bit snug in some areas and a bit loose in others.
Then, it was time to try the D cup. I grabbed a few D cup bras of the same styles as before. When I put them on, the first thing I noticed was that they had more room. The cups didn’t dig into my skin as much, but I also felt like there was a bit too much space in some of them. I walked around the fitting room, moved my arms up and down, and even did a little jump to see how they’d hold up.
I asked the salesgirls for their opinions. One of them said that a lot of women often choose the wrong cup size because they don’t get properly measured. She told me that according to some industry stats, about 80% of women are wearing the wrong bra size. She also said that the right cup size should make you feel comfortable and supported without any bulging or gaps.
After trying on so many bras, I realized that it’s not just about the cup size number. The band size also plays a huge role. A tight band can make the cup feel smaller, and a loose band can make the cup feel bigger. So, I asked the salesgirl to measure my band size again. She wrapped the measuring tape around my chest, made sure it was level, and jotted down the number.
Based on the new band size measurement, I tried on a few more bras. This time, I found a couple of bras that felt just right. One was a C cup and the other was a D cup. The C cup one fit well because the band was adjusted properly, and it gave me a nice shape. The D cup one also fit great, but it had a different kind of look and feel. It was more voluminous and gave me a bit more cleavage.

At the end of the day, I learned that choosing the right cup size is a personal thing. It depends on your body shape, how you want to look, and most importantly, how comfortable you feel. There’s no one – size – fits – all answer. You just gotta go out there, try a bunch of stuff, and see what works best for you. And don’t be afraid to ask for help from the salespeople in the stores. They’ve seen it all and can give you some pretty good advice.
