Hey, guys! I was just curious about what time it was 4 hours ago. So, I decided to figure it out on my own instead of just looking at the clock and subtracting.

First, I looked at the current time, which was 7:11:41 am. I knew I had to go back 4 hours. I started by subtracting the hours. 7 minus 4 is 3. So, I thought, “Okay, it should be around 3 o’clock.”
But then I realized I had to deal with the minutes and seconds too. The minutes were 11 and the seconds were 41. I didn’t want to do some complicated math in my head, so I just thought about it step – by – step.
I remembered that an hour has 60 minutes. I thought, if I was subtracting 4 hours, I didn’t really need to worry too much about the minutes and seconds for now. I just kept thinking about that 3 o’clock mark.
Then I started to double – check my thinking. I asked myself, “Is this right?” I thought about how time works. I knew that if it was 7 am now, going back 4 hours should land me in the early morning.
I was still a bit unsure, so I decided to ask some of my friends. One of them told me a quick – calculating tip. He said, “Just subtract the hours first, and if the minutes and seconds make it go back a bit more, you can adjust later.”

I followed his advice. I stuck with my 3 o’clock idea. Then I thought about the minutes and seconds. Since 11 minutes and 41 seconds weren’t enough to make it go back to the previous hour, I was pretty sure the time 4 hours ago was around 3:11:41 am.
To be extra sure, I asked a few more people. Some of them used different methods. One guy counted backwards on his fingers, which was kind of funny. Another girl used her phone’s calculator to do the math precisely.
After all that, I was confident that I had the right answer. It was a simple problem, but it made me think about how we calculate time in our daily lives. And those quick – calculating tips from my friends were really helpful!
So, that’s my whole experience of figuring out what time it was 4 hours ago. It might seem like a small thing, but it was a fun little challenge for me!
