Alright, I was sitting there today, looking at the clock and it was like, “Damn, I’m wondering how long until 3:25?” So, I started to figure it out. First, I took a good look at the time on my phone. It was, like, a bit past 2 o’clock. I’m not good at math in my head, so I decided to use a simple way to work it out.
I took a piece of paper and a pen. I wrote down the current time and then wrote 3:25 below it. I thought, “Okay, let’s start with the minutes.” I counted how many minutes it was from the current minute to the next hour. Then I added the minutes from that hour to 3:25. It was a bit of a hassle, but I managed to do it step by step.
As I was doing this, I remembered there are other ways too. Some people might just use the calculator on their phone, you know, subtracting the current time from 3:25. But I wanted to do it the old – fashioned way, like how I used to do in school. I kept double – checking my work, making sure I didn’t mess up the numbers.
After a few minutes of scribbling and counting, I finally got the answer. It was, like, an hour and some minutes. I was pretty proud of myself for working it out without relying on a calculator right away. It made me feel like I still got some basic math skills left in me.
