Okay, so I came across this name, Jerika Bolen, and I was like, “Who’s that?” So, I started digging.
First, I just did a simple search. You know, just typed the name into the search bar and hit enter. I skimmed through the results – a bunch of news articles, some videos.

It became clear pretty quickly that this was a tough story. I saw headlines about a teenager and something called “final wish”. My heart kinda sank a little. I clicked on a few of the articles and started reading.
I learned that Jerika suffered from a really awful disease, something that caused her constant pain. And she made this huge decision, a really brave one. She decided to stop treatment and, well, to have a “last dance” party.
My Research Process
- Started with a basic search.
- Read several news articles.
- Watched the news.
- Felt a whole mix of emotions – sadness, admiration, respect.
Honestly, the whole thing hit me pretty hard. I mean, to be that young and to face something so… final. It’s something I can’t even really imagine. I just kept reading, trying to understand her story, her strength.
I finished my little research journey feeling incredibly moved. It’s a heavy story, no doubt, but also incredibly inspiring. It really makes you think about life, about choices, about what really matters.
