Okay, so I had this recipe I wanted to try, and it called for 320 ml of some liquid ingredient. The problem? My measuring cups are all in ounces. I don’t know about you, but I find the whole metric vs. imperial system thing super confusing sometimes.
So, I grabbed my phone and started Googling. At first, I just typed in “320 ml to ounces”. I got a bunch of those converter things, but I wanted to double-check and make sure I was getting it right.

My Little Experiment
- First, I looked at a few different websites. Most of them agreed on the conversion, which was good.
- Then, because I’m a bit of a nerd, I wanted to understand why. So I found some explanations about how many milliliters are in a fluid ounce. Turns out, one fluid ounce is roughly 29.57 ml.
- Knowing this, I just do a rough calculate in my head.
So to convert 320ml to oz, I should use the number: 320 / 29.57 = ?
Finally I got the answer is about 10.82 ounces, so around 11 ounces should be good enough I think!
Anyways, that’s how I figured out how many ounces are in 320 milliliters. Not rocket science, but hey, it’s the little victories, right?
