I’ve always been curious about the yellow heart on Snapchat. So, I decided to dig into it and find out what it means. First, I opened my Snapchat app. You know, that colorful and busy interface with all those stories and chats.
I started by looking at my friends’ profiles one by one. I scrolled through the list, checking each little icon next to their names. I noticed that some friends had a yellow heart, while others had different symbols like a red heart or a smiling face.
Then, I remembered I could ask my friends directly. I sent a message to a few of them, saying something like, “Hey, what’s up with this yellow heart on Snapchat?” One of my friends replied right away. He said that the yellow heart means you and your friend have been each other’s #1 best friend on Snapchat for two weeks straight.
I was like, “Whoa, that’s kind of a big deal!” To confirm this, I went to the official Snapchat help section. I tapped on the little question – mark icon at the top right corner of the app and searched for “yellow heart”. There it was, in black and white, the same explanation my friend gave me.
I also found out that if you stop being each other’s #1 best friend, the yellow heart will disappear. So, I checked my own Snapchat best – friend list. I realized that the friends with the yellow heart were the ones I chatted with the most on Snapchat. I’ve been sending them snaps, chatting back and forth, and that’s how we maintained that yellow – heart status.
After all this investigation, I felt like I’d solved a little mystery. It’s kind of cool how Snapchat has these little symbols to show your friendship levels. And now, whenever I see that yellow heart next to a friend’s name, I know it means we’ve got a strong Snapchat bond!
