Well, I’ve always been a bit of a geography nut. One day, out of the blue, I got this wild idea to find out which countries start with the letter “O”. I mean, it sounds simple, right? But little did I know what a journey it was gonna be.
I started off by grabbing my old, tattered world atlas. You know, the kind with the yellowed pages and the musty smell. I flipped through it, page by page, scanning for those countries that began with “O”. I was squinting my eyes, trying to read the tiny print. And after what felt like ages, I only found one – Oman. I was like, “Is that it? There can’t be just one!”
So, I decided to turn to the internet. I fired up my laptop, opened up my browser, and typed in “Countries starting with O”. The search results popped up like crazy. I clicked on a few websites, and there were some mentions of other places, but a lot of them were either regions or not fully – recognized countries. I was getting frustrated. I was scrolling up and down, clicking on links, and still, the list wasn’t getting much longer.
I even asked my friends. I sent out messages on social media, “Hey, do you know any countries that start with O?” Some of them were like, “No way, there aren’t any!” Others gave me some really off – the – wall answers that were clearly wrong. But one of my smarty – pants friends sent me a link to a more reliable geography website.
I clicked on it, and there it was! A proper list. Besides Oman, there were a couple of other places that were kind of in a gray area. One of them was the Order of Malta, which is a sovereign entity but not a full – fledged country in the traditional sense. And there were some other small island territories that some sources considered separate but were really part of bigger countries.
After all that searching, I finally had a pretty good idea of the top countries and entities starting with “O”. It was a long process, full of dead – ends and wrong leads, but in the end, I felt like I’d accomplished something. I mean, how many people can say they’ve dug this deep into countries starting with a single letter? Now, I can share this knowledge with others and maybe even stump them with a geography quiz!
