By mistake I held the power button plus the record button together for like twenty seconds. Screen blinked like Christmas lights then died. Scared the hell out of me. But when I powered it back up? Suddenly the damn thing connected instantly. Tested recording – files saved clean this time.
Checked the clips after. No more black screens or freezes. Later figured out you gotta do this reset combo every few months because the internal memory fcks itself up silently. Saved my Saturday games from becoming glitchy nightmares.

Couple things stopped future headaches:
- Format the memory card IN THE CAMERA before big tournaments
- Always reset the damn thing after firmware updates
- Shoot test clips when battery drops below half power
