Well, planning a trip to Armenia – Georgia was quite an adventure for me. First off, I started with a simple idea in my head: I wanted a great vacation in these two beautiful countries. So, I kicked things off by doing some basic research on the internet.
I read a bunch of travel blogs and forums to get an idea of the must – visit places. I made a list of cities like Yerevan in Armenia and Tbilisi in Georgia. These were the places that everyone seemed to rave about.
Next, I had to figure out the best time to go. I asked some friends who had been there before, and they all said spring or autumn was the ideal time. The weather is nice, not too hot or cold. So, I marked my calendar and started planning for the right season.
Then came the visa part. I went to the official websites of the Armenian and Georgian embassies. I filled out the visa applications online. It was a bit of a hassle, with all the forms and documents, but I managed to get everything sorted out.
After that, I focused on accommodation. I used some well – known travel apps to look for hotels and guesthouses. I read reviews from other travelers and booked a few places in advance. I wanted to make sure I had a comfortable place to stay.
Transportation was another big thing. I decided to fly into Yerevan first. I booked my flight tickets through a travel agent. Once I was there, I planned to use local buses and trains to get around. I also looked into renting a car for a few days to explore the countryside at my own pace.
When it came to the actual trip, I landed in Yerevan. I was immediately struck by the beautiful architecture and the friendly locals. I visited the famous Armenian Genocide Memorial and the ancient monasteries around the city. The food was amazing too! I tried all kinds of local dishes like khorovats (barbecue) and dolma.
Then I took a bus to Tbilisi, Georgia. The journey was scenic, with mountains and valleys along the way. In Tbilisi, I wandered around the old town, visited the sulfur baths, and checked out the local markets. The people in Georgia were just as friendly as in Armenia.
Throughout the trip, I took a lot of photos and met some really interesting people. I even made friends with a couple from Germany who were also traveling in the area. We explored a few places together and had a great time sharing stories.
Finally, when it was time to go back home, I felt a bit sad but also really satisfied. I had an amazing vacation in Armenia – Georgia, and I learned so much about their cultures and histories. It was definitely a trip worth planning!
