Well, let me tell you about my Armenia – Georgia tourism experience. First off, I decided to plan this trip. I started by looking through some travel guides on my phone, just casually flipping through pages to get an idea of what places were worth visiting.
I booked my flights. It was a bit of a hassle, you know, comparing prices on different websites, but finally, I got a decent deal. Then I packed my bags. I threw in some clothes, a camera, and a bunch of snacks because you never know when you’ll get hungry on the road.
When I landed in Armenia, I took a taxi to my hotel. The driver was chatty, telling me all sorts of local stories. The first place I visited in Armenia was the Geghard Monastery. I walked up the path, feeling the cool mountain air on my face. The monastery was amazing, with its rock – cut architecture. I wandered around inside, looking at the ancient carvings on the walls. There were some locals praying, and it felt really peaceful.
Next, I went to Lake Sevan. I rented a bike and cycled around the lake. The view was just breathtaking, with the clear blue water and the mountains in the background. I stopped at a little café by the lake and had some local fish. It was so fresh and delicious!
After a few days in Armenia, I took a bus to Georgia. The journey was long, but the scenery along the way was beautiful. In Georgia, I headed straight to Tbilisi. I walked around the old town, getting lost in the narrow streets. There were all these colorful buildings, and the smell of spices from the markets filled the air. I visited the Narikala Fortress. I climbed up the steps, huffing and puffing all the way. But once I got to the top, the view of the city was worth it.
I also went to Kazbegi. I took a jeep tour up to the Gergeti Trinity Church. The road was bumpy, and I was holding on for dear life. When we reached the church, it was like something out of a fairytale, sitting on the mountainside with the snow – capped peaks in the distance.
As I was getting ready to go back home, I realized this trip had been one of the best experiences of my life. I had seen so many amazing places, met some really friendly people, and tasted some great food. I’d definitely recommend anyone to visit Armenia and Georgia. There are so many cool places to explore, and you’ll have a blast!
