Well, I just got back from a trip to Danimarca and Svezia, and let me tell you, the food there is something else! I was super excited to dig into the local delicacies, so I set out to find the top 3 must – eats.

First up: Fiskeboller in Danimarca
I started my food adventure in Danimarca. I heard from a local that fiskeboller was a must – try. So, I walked around the streets, looking for a place that served it. Finally, I found a small, cozy restaurant. I went in, sat down, and ordered a plate of fiskeboller. When it came, it looked like these cute little white balls in a creamy sauce. I took a fork, picked one up, and put it in my mouth. Oh my god! The fish balls were so tender and flavorful, and the sauce was like a dream. It was a perfect combination. I ended up gobbling the whole plate down in no time.
Next: Gravlax in Svezia
Then I hopped over to Svezia. I knew I had to try gravlax. I asked a passer – by where I could get some good gravlax, and they pointed me to a market. I wandered around the market, checking out all the stalls. There were so many different kinds of food, but I kept my eyes peeled for gravlax. I found a stall that looked really promising. The guy there was slicing the gravlax right in front of me. I bought a small portion. I took a bite right away. The salmon was cured to perfection, with a nice, salty – sweet taste. It was so smooth and delicious. I walked around the market, munching on my gravlax, feeling like a happy little foodie.
Finally: Smørrebrød in Danimarca again
On my way back to Danimarca, I remembered that I hadn’t tried smørrebrød yet. I went to a popular diner. I stood in front of the counter, looking at all the different smørrebrød options. There were so many to choose from! I decided to go for a classic one. The waiter put the plate in front of me. It was a piece of rye bread with all sorts of toppings on it. I took a big bite. The bread was dense and full of flavor, and the toppings just added so much variety. It was like a party in my mouth.
So, those are my top 3 local delicacies from Danimarca and Svezia. If you ever get a chance to go there, make sure you give these a try. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you!
