Well, I decided to find out the must – try foods in Georgia – Armenia. First, I did a bit of research on the internet. I typed in some keywords like “best foods in Georgia – Armenia” and started skimming through the search results. There were so many lists and blogs talking about it.

Then, I made up my mind to take a trip there. I booked my flight and hotel, packed my bags, and off I went. As soon as I landed in Georgia – Armenia, I was super excited to start my food adventure.
I headed straight to a local market. I walked around, looking at all the stalls. There were so many colorful fruits, vegetables, and spices. I saw a guy selling something that looked like a big, flat bread. I asked him what it was, and he said it was “lavash”. I bought one and took a bite. Oh my god, it was so crispy and delicious. It was like a cross between a cracker and a soft bread.
Next, I went to a small restaurant. I sat down and looked at the menu. There were so many strange names that I had no idea what they were. I asked the waiter to recommend some local specialties. He pointed at a dish called “khachapuri”. He said it was a traditional Georgian cheese bread. When it came, it looked like a boat filled with cheese. I dug in, and the cheese was so gooey and cheesy. It was amazing.
I also tried “khorovats”, which is Armenian barbecue. I saw a bunch of skewers on the grill, with all kinds of meat. I got a skewer of lamb. The meat was so tender and juicy, and it had this really nice smoky flavor. I was in heaven.
As I kept exploring, I found a sweet shop. I walked in and saw all these beautiful, colorful sweets. I asked the shopkeeper to give me a sample of the local favorites. He gave me a piece of “gata”, which is a sweet pastry. It was so sweet and buttery, and it just melted in my mouth.

By the end of my trip, I was so full but so happy. I had tried so many amazing foods that I had never even heard of before. It was an unforgettable experience. If you ever get a chance to go to Georgia – Armenia, make sure you try these must – try foods. You won’t regret it!
