Man, I totally get why folks wanna check the Pompey vs Leeds showdown stats – it’s a big deal, right? So yesterday when my mate Dave asked me about it, I figured why not share how I actually did it? Real messy, like everything else I do.

The Great Phone Hunt Begins
Okay, first I grabbed my phone like anybody else. Just started tapping like crazy ’cause I forgot the exact names. Stupid sausage fingers – typed “Portmouth FC” first. Dang autocorrect didn’t help at all. Took three tries to get “Portsmouth” right. Felt like forever.
Official Apps? Nah.
Tried the official club apps. What a waste! Portsmouth’s app showed me ticket prices for next month’s game. Leeds? Asked me to sign up for some stupid membership thing. Like I care about newsletters! Closed both faster than you can say “football.”
- Opened Portsmouth app – tickets, merch, no live table
- Opened Leeds app – splash screen, login nonsense
- Got mad and uninstalled both
Google Saves The Day
Finally used my head and just chucked “Portsmouth Leeds standings” into Google. Boom! Proper league table popped right up. Third result down showed recent matches side-by-side. Even had little icons for wins and losses – so simple.
Tapped the little table icon and saw everything:
- Who’s higher in Championship
- Goals scored last five games
- Even the stupid yellow card count
Why Bother With Anything Else?
Honestly? I felt like a total numpty after that. No need for apps or club sites at all. Just straight-up search engine magic works fine. One fat-finger typing session later – got all the answers.

Would have been easier if Dave just bloody looked it up himself though.
