So I saw this CR7 watch all over the place lately. Everyone’s asking if it’s worth the money in 2024. I figured, why not just buy one and see for myself? That’s my kind of project.

Ordering the Thing

First thing I did was go online to find it. It wasn’t too hard. A bunch of sites had it. I just picked one that looked okay and clicked order. The price was, well, let’s just say it wasn’t cheap. I paid and waited. A few days later, a box showed up at my door.

Opening the Box

I opened the box. Inside, the watch was sitting there in a little holder. It looked pretty good, I gotta say. They included the usual stuff: a charging cable and a very small manual. The first thing I did was pick it up. It felt lighter than I thought it would. Not super cheap, but not super heavy either. Just kinda normal.

Setting It Up

Next step was to turn it on. I pressed the button on the side and the screen lit up. Then I had to download the app on my phone to connect it. The connection was easy, no problems there. The app asked for a bunch of permissions, which I just clicked through. After a few minutes, it was all set up and ready to go.

Wearing It for a Week

Now for the real test. I wore this thing every day for a whole week. Here’s what I found out:

  • The step counter seems okay. I think it’s mostly accurate. I walked to the store and back, and the number looked about right.
  • Heart rate monitor is a thing. It gives you a number. I have no idea if it’s super accurate, but it’s there.
  • Sleep tracking is weird. It told me I had a bad night’s sleep, and I was like, “Yeah, I know, I was there.” It’s interesting to see, but I’m not sure how much it helps.
  • Notifications are handy. I got texts and calls on my wrist, which is cool, but sometimes it’s just annoying.

The battery lasted about four or five days before I had to charge it again. That’s not bad at all.

The Big Question: Is It Worth It?

After a week of using it, here’s my take. If you’re a huge CR7 fan, you’ll probably love it just because it has his name on it. It looks nice.

But if you’re just looking for a smartwatch to track your health and get notifications, you can find other watches that do the same stuff for less money. This one has the brand name, so you’re paying extra for that.

It’s not a bad watch. It works fine. But is it worth the money? For me, probably not. It’s a decent watch that costs a bit too much because of who it’s linked to. If the price was lower, it would be a much easier yes.

So that’s my little experiment. I tried it, I wore it, and now I know. Hope this helps if you were thinking about getting one.
