I was really curious about the RMA of Michigan events, so I decided to check them out myself. First, I went to the official website of RMA of Michigan to look at the list of upcoming events. There were so many! It was like a big buffet of events, and I didn’t know which ones to pick.

I started by making a short – list. I looked at the descriptions of each event. Some were about industry trends, some were networking events, and others were more hands – on workshops. I thought, “Okay, I need to focus on the ones that are most relevant to me.”
I decided to attend a networking event first. I got dressed up, grabbed my business cards, and headed out. When I got there, I was a bit nervous. It was like walking into a room full of strangers at a party. But I took a deep breath and started chatting with people. I shook hands, asked questions, and tried to make small talk. I met some really cool folks, and we exchanged ideas about the industry. It was a great experience, and I even got a few leads for potential business opportunities.
Next, I went to a workshop on a new technology related to our field. I was super excited about this one. When I walked into the workshop, there were rows of tables with computers and all sorts of gadgets. The instructor started talking, and at first, I was a bit lost. The stuff was kind of technical. But then I started to follow along. I took notes, asked questions, and even got to try out some of the new tools. By the end of the workshop, I felt like I had learned a whole new set of skills.
After these two events, I had a better idea of which ones were worth attending. The networking events are great for meeting new people and expanding your circle. And the workshops are awesome if you want to learn new things. But there were also some events that I skipped. Some of them seemed too focused on just selling products, and I wasn’t really interested in that.
So, in the end, I’d say it’s all about figuring out what you want to get out of these events. If you’re looking to meet new people, go for the networking ones. If you want to learn new skills, the workshops are the way to go. And don’t be afraid to skip the ones that don’t seem right for you. That’s my experience with the RMA of Michigan events, and I hope it helps you decide which ones are worth your time!
