Well, I was always into football, and I really wanted to figure out how to play the 4 – 3 – 3 formation effectively. So I decided to reach out to some professional coaches. I started by asking around in the local football community. I talked to a bunch of guys who played regularly and asked if they knew any coaches.

After some chatting, I got the contact of a few coaches. I gave them a call one by one. I was kind of nervous at first, but I just told them straight up that I wanted to learn how to play 4 – 3 – 3 well. They were pretty cool about it and agreed to give me some tips.
One coach told me to focus on the defenders first. He said, “You gotta make sure your full – backs can get up and down the pitch. They need to support the attack when we’re on the ball and get back quickly to defend.” So I started practicing with my full – backs, making them do sprints up and down the field during training sessions. We did drills where they had to overlap with the wingers and then get back to their defensive positions fast.
Another coach emphasized the midfield. He said, “The three midfielders in the 4 – 3 – 3 need to be like a wall in the middle. One should sit deep to protect the defense, and the other two should be able to link up the defense and the attack.” So we worked on passing triangles in the midfield. We practiced short, quick passes to keep the ball moving and break through the opponent’s midfield.
For the attackers, a coach said, “The wingers need to hug the touchline and cross the ball in. And the striker has to be in the right place at the right time to finish the chances.” We did crossing drills, where the wingers sent in balls and the striker tried to head or volley them into the net. We also practiced off – the – ball runs for the striker to get into good scoring positions.
After weeks of following these tips and practicing hard, we played a few games. At first, it was a bit rough. We made some mistakes, like the full – backs not getting back in time or the midfield losing the ball too easily. But as we kept playing, we started to get the hang of it.

In the end, we noticed a big improvement. Our attacks were more fluid, and our defense was more solid. We won more games, and it was really exciting. Playing the 4 – 3 – 3 effectively isn’t easy, but with the help of those coaches and a lot of practice, we made it work.
