I jumped up from my seat, shouting, “Holy cow, what a goal!”
Portsmouth didn’t give up, though. They kept attacking, trying to equalize. They had a few more good chances, but Watford’s goalkeeper made some amazing saves. In the end, the game ended with Watford winning 1 – 0.
Looking at the standings, it’s clear that this win gives Watford the upper hand. They’ve got more points now, and they’re in a better position in the league.
