Hey, y’all! I’ve been on this journey of choosing hybrid friendlies, and I’m here to spill the beans on how I did it. It all started when I realized I needed some new hybrid buddies in my life. Maybe it was for work, or just to expand my social circle. I wasn’t sure exactly what I was looking for at first, but I knew I wanted something that could fit well into different situations.
I began by looking around my daily life. I noticed that a lot of people I met were kind of one – dimensional. They were great at one thing but not so good at adapting to other stuff. So, I decided to set out on a mission to find those hybrid friendlies.
I started hitting up local events. I went to tech meet – ups, art fairs, and even some random community gatherings. At these events, I was like a detective, trying to spot those people who seemed to have multiple interests and skills. I’d walk up to them, say hi, and start chatting. I remember at one tech meet – up, I met this guy who was not only into coding but also really good at painting. That was a sign!
Once I started having conversations, I’d ask them about their hobbies and what they did outside of their main gig. If they could talk about different things with passion, that was a good indication that they might be a hybrid friendly. I also paid attention to how they interacted with others. Did they listen well? Could they switch topics easily? These were all important factors.
After a few events, I had a small list of potential hybrid friendlies. I invited them out for coffee or a drink to get to know them better. During these hang – outs, I could really see if they could blend different aspects of their lives together. For example, one of the guys I met combined his love for music and tech by creating some cool music – related apps.
As I got to know them more, I also started to see how they could fit into my own life. Could we work on projects together? Would they be fun to hang out with in different settings? I found that some of them were a perfect match, while others just didn’t click as well.
Finally, after a few months of this process, I had found my hybrid friendlies. They were people who could bring different perspectives to the table, and who were always up for trying new things. It wasn’t an easy process, but it was totally worth it. Now, I have a group of friends who can join me in all sorts of adventures, whether it’s coding a new app or going to an art exhibition. And that’s how I did it, folks! It’s all about getting out there, having conversations, and finding those unique individuals who can add a bit of spice to your life.
