Alright so today I wanted to dig into the past games between Deportivo Alaves and Levante. I figured it would be interesting to see how these two have matched up over the years.

Getting Started
First thing I did was fire up my laptop and open a few tabs. I knew I needed to find a reliable source for match histories. I started with a general search, just typing in “Alaves vs Levante past matches”. I got a bunch of results but some sites looked sketchy, so I stuck with the ones I recognized from before.
The Deep Dive
I began scrolling through the lists of matches. It was a lot of clicking and scrolling. I decided to focus on their meetings in La Liga, since that’s where they’ve played each other the most.
What I found was pretty back-and-forth. There wasn’t one team that totally dominated the other. Some seasons Alaves would win, other seasons Levante would get the better of them. A lot of the scores were really close, like 1-0 or 2-1.
- I saw a match from a few years back where Levante won 2-1 with a late goal.
- Then there was a game where Alaves just crushed it, 3-0 at home.
- But also plenty of draws, especially when they played at Levante’s ground.
I started jotting down the dates and scores in a notepad file on my desktop. Just a simple list to keep track. It was a bit tedious, but I wanted to see the whole picture.
Putting It All Together
After I had all the recent matches listed out, I tried to see if there was a pattern. Honestly, it’s hard to say. Their form seems to change so much from season to season. A win for Alaves one year doesn’t really predict what happens the next year.

I double-checked all the dates to make sure I didn’t mix anything up. Then I organized the timeline from the oldest match I looked at to the most recent one. It’s not a huge history, but it’s enough to get a sense of their rivalry.
The main takeaway for me is that this is usually a tight, unpredictable fixture. You can’t really assume who’s going to win based on the past. That’s what makes it fun to watch, I guess.
And that was pretty much my process. Just a lot of reading, note-taking, and trying to make sense of it all. It was a good way to spend an afternoon.
