Double-Checking Stuff
Wanted to be sure, you know? Didn’t want no outdated numbers messing me up. Scrolled back up the page and hunted for the “last updated” time. Saw it right under the table – “Updated: [today’s date], 08:15 AM”. Good enough for me. Felt pretty confident that was the fresh stuff.
Closed the browser tab. Later, talking to my buddy Carlos, he asked about the game last night. Told him straight: “Barça’s still 2nd, 67 points. Las Palmas is 14th, only 37 points. Safe.” Easy. Having looked it up myself made sure I wasn’t talking junk.
