Ah, let me tell ya, my husband, oh he’s always been up for some fun, bless his heart. We been together so long, we like two peas in a pod. And one day, I thought to myself, “Why don’t we try somethin’ different, just for a laugh?” You know, keep things light and funny. So, I dressed him up as a woman. Yeah, you heard that right! I put him in one of my dresses, did his hair, and even slapped a bit of makeup on him. He looked at me, all confused-like, but I couldn’t stop laughing.
Now, why’d I do it, you ask? Well, sometimes you just need to do things for fun. Life’s too short to be serious all the time. We started off just playin’ around, but soon enough, he was twirlin’ around the house like he was on some fancy runway. His name’s John, but when he’s in that dress, I call him Joanne! And you wouldn’t believe it, he’s actually startin’ to enjoy it too.
Let me tell ya somethin’ about cross-dressin’. It’s when a man puts on women’s clothes or a woman puts on men’s clothes. Simple as that. Ain’t nothin’ complicated about it, really. Some folks do it for fun, some do it for work, like those actors in them big city movies. Heck, I remember seein’ that old film with Dustin Hoffman, ‘Tootsie,’ where he dresses up like a lady. It was all just pretend, but he did it well!
Now, me and John, we don’t do this for no deep reason, mind you. We just do it for a laugh. He likes it, I like it, and it makes our days brighter. I ain’t sure what the neighbors think if they saw him in my Sunday best, but we ain’t worried about that. We’ve been married too long to care about what folks say.
One time, we was doin’ some cleanin’ ‘round the house, and I thought, why not dress him up in my old maid’s outfit? Oh, you should’ve seen it! He was sweepin’ the floor and lookin’ all proper, but then tripped over the broom, and down he went. We both laughed so hard, I nearly cried. It’s just good fun, you know?
But let me tell ya, it ain’t all about the clothes. It’s about lettin’ go and not takin’ things so seriously. The world can be tough enough as it is. So, if dressin’ my husband up as a woman brings a bit of joy into our lives, well, what’s the harm in that? He don’t mind it, and neither do I. We even went to a little costume party last year, him all dolled up, and folks there thought he looked better in a dress than I did!
People got their own reasons for doin’ what they do. Some folks might dress up to express themselves, some might do it for work, and others, well, maybe they just feel more comfortable that way. It don’t matter much to me why folks do what they do, as long as they’re happy and ain’t hurtin’ nobody. And if it makes my John happy to wear a dress every now and then, well, that’s fine by me.
Now, I know some of y’all might be thinkin’, “Ain’t that strange? A man in a dress?” But let me tell ya, once you see your husband prancin’ ’round the kitchen in heels tryin’ to cook dinner, you’ll change your tune real quick. It’s all about havin’ fun together, makin’ memories, and keepin’ the laughter alive. And if that means my John dresses up as Joanne now and again, well, I’ll be the first to fix his hair and touch up his lipstick!
So, don’t be shy, ladies. If you ever feel like doin’ somethin’ different with your fella, give it a try. Dress him up, have a good laugh, and see where it takes ya. Life’s too short to be all serious. You never know, you might enjoy it as much as we do!
