Okay, so I’ve been meaning to upgrade my beach towel game for a while now. My old one was, well, old. Faded, thin, and honestly, not very absorbent. So, I decided to dive into the world of “aussie beach towels” – I’d heard good things, you know?
First, I hit up some online stores. I wanted to see what the options were. I quickly realized there’s a HUGE range. Round ones, rectangular ones, Turkish-style ones, microfiber ones… it was a bit overwhelming!

I narrowed it down by thinking about what I actually needed. I wanted something big enough to lie on comfortably, but not so huge it would take up my entire beach bag. Absorbency was key, obviously. And, let’s be real, I wanted something that looked good, too.
I spent a good hour just browsing, comparing different brands and reading reviews. I noticed a few names kept popping up – Dock & Bay, Tesalate, Sand Cloud. These seemed to be the popular kids on the block.
- Dock & Bay: These looked super bright and fun, and they claimed to be quick-drying.
- Tesalate: These were marketed as “sand-free,” which sounded amazing. No more shaking out a sandy towel at the end of the day!
- Sand Cloud: These were more Turkish-style, with those cool fringe details. They also seemed to be environmentally conscious, which I liked.
After much deliberation (seriously, it felt like a major life decision!), I decided to go with a Tesalate towel. The sand-free thing really sold me. Plus, they had some pretty cool designs.
I placed my order and waited (im)patiently for it to arrive. When it finally did, I was stoked! It was even better than I expected. The material felt really soft, and it was definitely big enough. The colors were * is really wonderful.
I took it for a test run at the beach the next weekend, and it was Awesome. I spread it out on the sand, laid down, and soaked up the sun. It was perfect, When I was ready to go, I just gave it a quick shake, and the sand slid right off. Success!
So, my “aussie beach towels” adventure was a win. I’m officially a convert. No more soggy, sandy towels for me!
