Okay, so I saw this “female the real thing t shirt” thing trending, and I was like, “What’s that all about?” I’m always up for trying new styles, so I decided to dive in and see if I could make one myself.
First, I looked around for some inspiration. Just browsing through what other people had done, to get a feel for the different designs and vibes.
Finding the Right Shirt
Then, I needed a blank shirt. Because, craft project! I Went to the store chose a plain white tee. Decided to do the classic look with the one, you know, the nice, soft cotton one, not too thick, not too thin.
Coming Up with a Design
I started sketching out some ideas. I used a pencil and paper to plan the design on the shirt. I thought, the phrase on the tee, you can put some cool graphics or patterns around it.
Transferring the Design
- I got some transfer paper, the kind you can print on with a regular inkjet printer.
- I printed out my design. Make sure to flip the image horizontally before printing.
- Then, I carefully ironed the design onto the shirt. This part took some patience, making sure to follow the instructions on the transfer paper so it wouldn’t mess up.
The Final Touches
After letting it cool down, I peeled off the backing paper. And, the final design, I made sure to wash it inside out in cold water, just to be safe. Don’t want all that work fading away after one wash!
It turned out, I created a one-of-a-kind tee. And you know, it’s pretty awesome rocking something you made yourself!
