Okay, so I’ve been totally obsessed with Maddy Perez’s style from Euphoria. Especially that iconic New Year’s Eve outfit. I just had to try and recreate it myself, you know?
Finding the Pieces
First things first, I needed to find the clothes. I started by searching “I AM GIA Maddy Perez outfit” and a bunch of stuff popped up. It was a bit of a rabbit hole, but fun!
I spent a good few hours browsing different websites. It was surprisingly hard to find exact matches, a lot were sold out, or the prices were kinda crazy.
Making Choices and Ordering
I decided I needed to get creative. Found a black cut-out dress. It wasn’t the exact same, but the vibe was there. It had the keyhole cut-out and the general shape. Score!
Then, the arm sleeves. I looked for black, long opera gloves at first. But honestly, finding ones that looked right and were affordable was tough. So I switched gears, and found some separate sleeves. They were a bit more sheer, but I figured I could make them work.
Finally the shoes! found strappy black heels. They were a bit plain, but I thought I could spice them up later.
I placed my orders, fingers crossed everything would fit and look okay together.
The Waiting Game (and Tweaks!)
The waiting was the hardest part! When the packages finally arrived, I ripped them open like it was Christmas morning.
The dress, thankfully, fit pretty well! It was a little looser than Maddy’s, but honestly, I preferred it that way. Made it more comfy.
The arm sleeves, yeah, they were a little see-through, but with the dress, they actually looked pretty cool. So, I felt good about that choice.
The shoes, I still wanted add something. I grabbed some rhinestones and glue, and carefully added some bling around the straps. It was a bit fiddly, but totally worth it. They looked way more glam now!
Putting It All Together
Finally, the moment of truth! I put on the dress, the sleeves, and the blinged-out heels. Then I looked to my mirror.
It wasn’t a perfect replica, but it definitely captured the Maddy Perez energy. I felt confident, a little bit edgy, and totally ready to… well, maybe not go to a chaotic high school party, but definitely ready to go out and feel amazing!
I am super happy with how it turned out! It’s a reminder that you don’t need to spend a fortune or find exact matches to recreate a look you love. A little creativity and some DIY can go a long way!
