Okay, so I’ve been seeing these “12 Days of Christmas” perfume advent calendars everywhere, and I finally caved. I mean, who doesn’t want tiny, adorable perfumes for 12 days straight? I decided to get crafty and make my own, because, you know, budget. Plus, I could tailor it to scents I actually like.
First, I gathered all my supplies. This was probably the most time-consuming part, mostly because I’m indecisive. I hit up a craft store and grabbed:

- Some small, decorative boxes (I found these cute little ones shaped like stars).
- Tissue paper in festive colors.
- Ribbon – gotta make it look pretty!
- Numbered stickers (1-12, obviously).
- And, of course, the most important part: the perfume samples!
For the perfume, I dug through my own collection of samples I’d accumulated. I also asked a few friends if they had any they didn’t want. And, I must admit, I snuck in a few quick spritzes at the department store perfume counters… don’t judge!
The Assembly Process
Once I had everything, it was assembly time. I laid out all the boxes and started filling them.
First I fill the boxs with some tissue paper, just to cushion the little perfume vials.
Then, carefully placed a perfume sample in each box.
I choose a different one for each day, trying to mix it up between floral, fruity, and a few spicier scents.
Wrapped each box with more tissue paper, securing it with a little bit of tape.
After the wrapping, I closed the boxes and tied each one with a ribbon. Make it look like a tiny present. Finally, I stuck the numbered stickers on, one for each day of the “12 Days of Christmas.”
The whole process took me a couple of evenings, mostly because I was watching Christmas movies while I worked. Honestly, it was super relaxing and put me in such a festive mood!

Now, I have my very own, personalized perfume advent calendar! I’m so excited to start opening it. I’m a little impatient, so I might have already “tested” a couple… It’s a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it, right?
