Okay, so the other day, I noticed a couple of tiny holes in one of my favorite shirts. It’s this comfy, old t-shirt, and I was super bummed. Instead of tossing it, I decided to try and fix it myself. I’m no sewing expert, but hey, worth a shot, right?
My Little Rescue Mission
First, I gathered my “supplies.” This basically involved raiding my mom’s sewing kit. I found:
- A needle – a pretty small one, I think.
- Some thread that kind of matched the shirt color. It wasn’t perfect, but close enough!
- Scissors.
Then came the tricky part. I carefully turned the shirt inside out. Then I try to put the needle into the hole.
I slowly started stitching around the edges of the * stitches were probably all over the place – some big, some small.
After what felt like forever, I tied off the thread and snipped the extra bit. I flipped the shirt back the right way, and… well, it wasn’t perfect. You could still kind of see where the holes were, but it was way better than before! The fabric was pulled together, and the holes weren’t noticeable unless you were really looking for them.
Honestly, I was pretty proud of myself! I managed to save my shirt from the trash, and it only took me, like, 20 minutes. Plus, I learned a new skill, even if it’s a super basic one. Next time I see a tiny hole, I will try to do it better!
