Okay, so I was browsing online the other day, and I saw this “tooth toy” thing. It looked kinda weird, but also kinda interesting? So, naturally, I had to try making one myself. I mean, why not, right?
Gathering Stuff
First things first, I needed to figure out what to use. I didn’t want to go out and buy anything fancy, so I just rummaged through my junk drawers. Here’s what I ended up with:

- Some old white fabric: I think it was from an old pillowcase.
- Stuffing: I ripped open a small, sad-looking teddy bear. Sorry, little guy!
- Needle and thread: Basic sewing kit stuff.
- Black marker: For drawing the face, obviously.
- Scissors.:For cut the fabric.
Making the Tooth Shape
I’m no sewing expert, let me tell you. I just eyeballed the shape. I basically cut out two pieces of fabric that looked vaguely like teeth – you know, kinda rectangular with a bumpy root part. I made sure they were roughly the same size.
Sewing it Together
Next, I put the two pieces of fabric together, “good” sides facing each other. Then, I started sewing around the edges. I used a really simple stitch, nothing fancy, just in and out, in and out. The important thing is, I left a gap at the top so I could turn it inside out and stuff it.
Stuffing and Finishing
After sewing most of the way around, I flipped the whole thing inside out, so the “good” side of the fabric was now on the outside. Then came the stuffing. I just grabbed handfuls of the stuffing from the sacrificed teddy bear and crammed it in there. I wanted it to be nice and plump, but not too hard.
Once it was stuffed to my liking, I sewed up the gap I left at the top. Again, just a simple stitch, making sure it was closed up tight.
Adding the Face
Now for the fun part! I took my black marker and drew a little face on the tooth. I gave it two little eyes and a simple, slightly crooked smile. Because why not? A crooked smile makes it look friendlier, I think.
The Final Result
And that’s it! My very own, handmade tooth toy. It’s definitely not perfect. It’s a little lumpy, the stitching is probably a mess, and the face is… well, let’s just say it has character. But you know what? I made it! And it was actually pretty fun. It’s kinda cute, in a weird, homemade way. I might even make a few more, just for kicks. Maybe I’ll try different expressions next time. A grumpy tooth? A surprised tooth? The possibilities are endless!
