90th Birthday Card for Mum:Lovely and Special Designs.

Okay, so Grandma’s 90th birthday is coming up, and I wanted to make her something special. I decided to go with a handmade card, because, you know, store-bought ones can be so generic. Ninety is a huge milestone, so it had to be good!

First, I gathered all my supplies. This involved a trip to the craft store where i picked and bought:

90th Birthday Card for Mum:Lovely and Special Designs.
  • Some nice, thick cardstock in a cream color.
  • Various colors of construction paper.
  • Glitter glue – because everything’s better with glitter!
  • Some pretty ribbon.
  • A few packs of those little stick-on gems.
  • And of course, my trusty glue stick and scissors.

Then came decision. Should it be flowers? Balloons? I sketched out a few ideas on some scrap paper. I’m no artist, but I can manage a decent-looking flower, so I decided to go with a floral theme.

I carefully cut out the card base from the cream cardstock, making sure it was a good size – not too big, not too small. Then, I started working on the decorations. I cut out lots of little flower shapes from different colored construction paper – pinks, purples, yellows, the works.I cut all these by hands!

Next, I arranged the flowers on the front of the card, playing around with the layout until it looked just right. Once I was happy with it, I glued everything down. And, because it’s a 90th birthday, I carefully wrote “90” in the center with the glitter glue, making it nice and sparkly.

I added some of those stick-on gems around the flowers and the number, just to give it some extra bling. To finish it off, I tied a pretty pink ribbon around the bottom of the card, making a neat little bow.

Finishing Touches

I let the whole thing dry overnight, just to make sure everything was secure. The next day, I wrote a heartfelt message inside, telling Grandma how much I love her and how amazing she is. And that was it! A handmade 90th birthday card, made with love. I’m really happy with how it turned out, and I think Grandma will love it too.
