Okay, so I needed to figure out how many ounces are in 240 grams. I had this recipe I wanted to try, and it listed everything in grams, but my brain just works better with ounces. Gotta convert it, right?
First, I grabbed my phone. Easier than digging out a calculator. Then I opened up Google. I typed something like “240 grams to ounces” into the search bar.

The Result
Boom! Right there at the top, Google’s calculator showed me the answer: 8.4657508678993 ounces. I mean, wow, that’s a lot of decimal places. Seriously, who needs that much precision in a recipe?
But it all made sense from these steps:
- I found the basic conversion factor: 1 gram is about 0.035273962 ounces. That’s the key.
- We can use that like a simple math proportion.
- Then Cross multiply is needed.
Anyway, I rounded that number down to 8.5 ounces. Much easier to deal with. 240 grams, 8.5 ounces… close enough for my cooking, I think!
